Searching for a Pepper Mill

July 28, 2011Katie

I need a Pepper Mill.

Pepper Mills are something you can’t live without.  There is nothing like freshly ground black pepper on your latest culinary creation.

My taste buds have changed. I used to detest pepper.  My Dad puts it on everything from cantelope to broccoli and I just didn’t ever want it.

But now my grown-up taste buds love it…I love all kinds of ground pepper, from red to black to white…so I need a good grinder.  Out to dinner the other night, our waiter ground a barrage of pepper over our salads with one tiny flick of his wrist and I realized.

I totally want a pepper grinder like that.

A tall, wooden grinder that is a breeze to turn and is adjustable to different grinds.

So here’s my question…

Who has one that they can recommend?  Peoguet, William Bounds, Olde Thompson? Do you have a preference?

I’d love to hear your comments.

I have a peppermill by PepperMate. I purchased it online. It's the one Paula Dean and Ina Garten use and I love it. It's a breeze to fill and it has this very handy device on the bottom that collects ground pepper for easy measuring. It runs about $30. I highly recommend it.
