Removing Extra Fat from Meat

I am posting a Lean Mean Game Day Chili recipe tomorrow for my segment on the Rise & Shine Oklahoma show.  I thought this would be a neat short post with a healthy tip on how to remove a little more unwanted fat from your ground meat dishes.

After cooking up your meat, drain it in a colander, and rinse it with the hottest possible water you can get out of your tap.

This will rinse even more grease off of the meat before you continue to cook with it.

It’s the little things sometimes that get you a few more health benefits.

And I need all of those that I can get.
