The Dilemna of Buying for Mother's Day
Did you know Mother’s Day is coming soon?
As in like …10 days?
Looking for ideas for Mother’s Day? Now, I don’t know what your mom would want…
Actually I don’t know what MY mom would want. (Mom? Help please?)
Here are a few things on my wish list….(click on any picture to take you to the site).
This steampunk necklace from Dragonfly In Amber Design ($51.00).
Sidenote to my kids..if you click here and leave Nancy a comment, you’ll get a 50% code.
Kids…hello? Do you read Mama’s blog?
I love this bamboo tasting spoon from Branch ($4.00)…and my family would probably prefer I use a separate spoon for tasting too…germs and all.
These bamboo spoons are really cool due to the fact that they have a built in spoon-rest on the back to keep drips to a minimum.
In fact, the whole set would be wonderful. I already have some bamboo spoons, and they work fine also. (Snapping fingers) Shucks.
I’d love this Grill Basket from Pampered Chef ($26.50).
It would be awesome to throw a bazillion vegetables in that basket tossed in olive oil and grill the whole thing alongside some chicken or steak!
LOVE this red 5-quart Colander from Pier 1 Imports ($18).
Again, I already have a plastic white colander from Wal-Mart…
You know what? It works just fine.
Hmmmm.
These Chinese Laundry “Retouch” Sandels ($69.00).
This Cuisinhart Griddler ($95.00) with multiple interchangable plates.
A Homemade Life by Molly Wizenberg ($20.00)
Molly is a food blogger, now writing for Bon Appetit and I love to read her simple home recipes.
What I really, truly want for Mother’s Day?
The Canon EOS 30D.
I’m not going to post a price, because it would send my husband into cardiac arrest, and I kind of like having him around.
Speaking of husbands, Mr. Wonderful and I decided years ago that I wasn’t his Mom and he wasn’t my Dad, so we shouldn’t buy each other gifts. This resulted in our kiddos getting and making us some pretty cool stuff…
Anyone else come to that conclusion?
Truth be told, my favorite gift for Mom’s Day is all of our kids in the kitchen making something wonderful, laughing, talking and just being together.
I’d love to hear your ideas for either what you want or what you want to get your Mom for her special day…
