How to Cut Corn off the Cob Easily

July 1, 2013Katie

The trick to cutting corn easily off the cob is to use a bundt pan.  I almost never use my bundt pan, so it makes me feel like there is a reason I let it take up so much space in my cupboard.

Stand the ear of corn on end and poke one end into the hole in the middle of the pan.

Just take a sharp knife and slice it down the cob, as CLOSE to the cob as you can get without actually cutting chunks of the cob off. No one likes to bite into the cob!  The corn will fall into the bundt pan nicely.  To get the second end of the corn, just flip the cob upside down and stick the end you’ve already cut inside the hole. VOILA!

It’s easier than cutting it on a cutting board because you can easily reach the entire piece of corn without your knife being awkward.

Try it next time and see!
