Fun Christmas Kitchen Gifts from Our Kids, Mr. Wonderful and a Special Friend

December 27, 2009Katie

Mr. Wonderful and the kids have got me down.

Okay, so they didn’t take the hint from my 12 Days of Christmas Foodie Wish List.

But they surprised me with some equally fantastic gifts for the kitchen.

Mr. Wonderful got me these measuring cups and spoons from Williams-Sonoma.

I’ve had these cheap collection of measuring cups and spoons.  The cups break, the spoons, well they had an unfortunate episode in the garbage disposal.

Did you know aluminum spoons don’t do well in the garbage disposal?

These things are so heavy, so beautiful, I couldn’t wait to use them.  They even have a 1/8 cup measuring cup and a 1/8 teaspoon on them.  Way cool!

I got these cute little spreaders and packages of dip mix from Chris & Laura.

Love the decorative handles on these! And I can’t wait to try the dips.

Kayla & Conner went in together to get me this stuff from Teavana.

Do you have a Teavana? If not, find one soon.  If you’re a tea lover, this place is heaven.

The tumbler has a loose leaf tea infuser that pops out after your tea is steeped.  Then you screw on your sip lid.  Over top of that, for traveling is a seal tight lid.  This thing seriously keeps tea hot for hours.  Steaming hot.

They also have cannisters of loose leaf tea you can buy and the packages are so cute.  My favorite so far is the Honeybush Vanilla.

Lyndsay & Isaac got me these.

A sifter/strainer and Salad Choppers.  Have you see these? You can chop vegetables, fruits, salad, and even cooked meat right in the bowl.

Pretty neato.

Jason and Lindsay got me this.

If you love a well-stocked kitchen, you know what the little pineapple means.

It means as soon as this doggone snow is cleared up on our streets, I’m going shopping!

Now this has nothing to do with the kitchen whatsoever, but I have to show you what Tori got me.

Isn’t that the cutest thing? It’s a Betsy Johnson bracelet.  Can you see all the little details? Adorable!

And while I’m on jewelry, I have to show you this.  My friend Nancy makes the most beautiful jewelry you’ve ever seen.  She gave me this set for Christmas.

And to go along with it, Mr. Wonderful had her make me these.

Do you know what these are for?  Here’s a hint.

Boot jewelry! How cool is that? You can see her gorgeous designs over at dragonflyinamberdesigns.com.

She will package it up for you in a gorgeous handmade bags as well.

How about you? What was your favorite gift this Christmas? Was it new socks or was it just having your family all together in one place for once?

Mine was a little of both.  It was one of the best Christmases we’ve had.  All of the kids and our new grandbaby.  All in one place.  Snow outside, good food to eat, and just enjoying each other’s company.

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and look forward to a New Year full of surprises.

And maybe a shopping trip to Williams-Sonoma!

SO jealous! I did NOT get my Williams-Sonoma gift card. SO sad. You will have to report back what you decide to buy with yours. Feel like a field trip to GA? I have an outlet 15 minutes from my house.... :)
