Doozie Cookies
HELP! I’m home alone!
Remember the movie Home Alone and the trouble lil Macaulay Culkin got in?
This is what happens when you’re home alone with your teenage son who loves those cookies at the mall.
You know the place.
The one that serves two chocolate chip cookies with a mile of icing in the middle of them?
This is also what happens when you’ve worked about 30 overtime hours in a week’s time and you just want to do something super easy and super BAD.
Here are the culprit ingredients:
One package of Betty Crocker Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix, one egg, one stick of butter, one can of cream cheese frosting and sprinkles.
Are you with me yet?
Can you say naughty?
In a mixing, bowl, dump the cookie mix in with the egg and the butter.
Don’t even bother worrying about messing up your KitchenAid mixer for this one. Grab your hand-held.
Mix up your dough real well. And please splatter as much as possible around your mixing bowl like me.
You want even-size cookies for this. Use a cookie dough scoop for uniform size size balls and also use parchment paper so you don’t have to scrub a pan. Remember, it’s late nite and there’s no time for that!
Pop into a 350º oven for 10-12 minutes.
Take out and cool.
So much for my “uniform size” cookies huh?
Find 2 cookies that are close to the same size. Place one with the bottom facing up on a plate.
Remember your cookie scoop? Wash it clean and dip it into your frosting. Put a nice size scoop on the bottom cookie.
**Note I would recommend chilling the frosting in the refrigerator first.
You see where we’re going right? You’re heading right down the path of a sugar death-wish with me right?
Pop the top cookie on top of the frosting.
Shake some of your sprinkles into a bowl or onto a small plate.
Roll the cookie around so that the sprinkles stick to the exposed frosting.
This boy’s gonna be the death of me with his cravings.
