We are reminded all the time of how God sent his son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for our sins. But often times when we hear this, we aren’t fully grasping the meaning, the unconditional love, the undeserving mercy, and the grace we are so unworthy of. You see Christ didn’t just die for the believers, but the non-believers as well!
Think about that….why on earth would anyone want to die for someone who wants nothing to do with them? Let alone a awhole non-believing race?
Answer: It’s unconditional love.
He wants eternal happiness and joy for EVERYONE!
The Bible says, “Whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.” (John 3:16). But God’s not going to make all the non-believers go to Hell without being given the opportunity to have a relationship with Him, and He certainly doesn’t want to see His children go through to death.
We Christians have a a purpose on this Earth – how we live. Our purpose is based on what He wants. Everyone has an ultimate goal, and that is to reach out to the hurting, the less-fortunate, to the angry, and to lead them and to share with them a God who is truly amazing. To let them know a God who is indescribable, a God who we know will always be with us. One who we can depend on in the good times and bad, and put our complete trust in. He is a God who can bless us, a God who can heal all of our hurts and loss.
We were born in the image of God and we are here as representatives of Him, to let his light shine through and to save those covered by the darkness. He loves us so much that it’s completely unfathomable. He forgives us all all our sins, even before our sins have been committed. He knows the plans He has for us, and they are plans of good things. He is so merciful and graceful, and we are so unworthy, but yet, He still longs for a deep, intimate relationship with us.
What better way of showing our gratitude and serving Him then by giving our lives to Him and letting Him shine through us?
I encourage you to give everything to God – your pain, your sorrow, your worries, your doubts – everything!
Give to God and let Him shine through you that you may show people through your actions that there is a greater way of living….GOD!!!
Build a greater relationship with Him today…He is longing for you to take His hand!
A great message Caitlyn! We all need to stop periodically in our lives and reflect on whether we are furthering our relationship with our King. Thanks for the reminder Caitlyn and we all can re-establish our purpose in Him!
