How is it possible my oldest daughter is 23 years old?

Better yet, how is it possible she can walk in those shoes and I can’t?

We were a week late as her brother and sister had just moved into their respective colleges last weekend and it was too soon for them to be home after moving in, but this weekend we celebrated.  Here is a bit of what went on.

We all loved having this precious muffin over.

And there was food.  Tori Instagrammed this collage of what she requested.  At our house the kids get to request anything they want for their birthday meal…well, we kind of draw the line at lobster and such, but she requested my Southwest Meatloaf with Chipotle Glaze, or The Ultimate Meatloaf, Buttermilk Ranch Twice Baked Potatoes, and Roasted Veggies.

And for dessert, we tried a new recipe she saw on Pinterest…it was this.

This was her cake(s).  A brownie cookie crust pizza with a sweetened cream cheese topping, fresh berries and an apricot glaze.

It was a hit.

I can’t believe my girl is 23. I am proud of who she is. I think she’s amazingly beautiful and talented, and the world is waiting to be caught and tamed by her.

And little bit?

She got plumb worn out.

I love you Tori!

Hi, Katie. Happy Birthday to your daughter! My second oldest just turned 24 this summer and it’s so hard to believe. (She has the same taste in shoes as your Tori!) Looks like everyone had a wonderful time!
