Suckers for Dogs

Around here we’re suckers for dogs.

Case in point.  What do you think Mr. Wonderful’s doing?

Peeping Tom? About to steal some apples?

Nope.  He’s talking to Lucy, one of our God dogs that lives next door.  And, yes they bring me flowers on Mother’s Day.

And also to her sister Ethel.

We just love Lucy and Ethel, and yes, they are named after characters from I Love Lucy.

We even love this little rascal, Max, who is ALL ours,  in all his brain damaged wonder.

This is his way of saying he loves you.

You can just drag him around for a mile on your pantleg.

Since the last time we got him groomed, he just shivers and shivers.  So ….

I bought him a sweater to make up for the loss of fur.  I think he looks very pretty in a Doggie Harvard Yale sort of way.

The men of the house seem to disagree.  They think it’s humiliating for him and makes him hang his head in shame..

What do you think?

  1. love the doggy characters, and Max, tugging on Denis' pant leg. So cute and funny. The sweater is cute, too.
  2. LOL! I love this! Is it just coincidence that with the sweater on he isn't chewing on a pant leg? Or does the sweater really make him smarter? Hmmmmm...
  3. Awww. what a very cute blog post. We are a dog loving family too. We only have one right now, but hope to one day add to the family.
