This is our new way of making bacon at our house.

And I’m never going back cuz it’s SOOO good!

I bought this inexpensive rack that fits in one of my baking sheets.

I purchased this a month or so ago at our local restaurant supply store that is also open to the public.  It was just a few dollars.

This pan lets me bake my bacon in the oven while keeping the bacon elevated above the grease that drips off of it. (For easy cleanup, line the bottom of the pan with tin foil).

We simply lay the bacon out on the rack and pop it into a 400º oven for about 15-20 minutes (ovens will vary). We use the thick sliced bacon from Aldi, but any thicker bacon works. (If using thin, adjust your baking time by at least 5 minutes).

The hot air circulates under and over the bacon, the grease drips off and the best part? Our house doesn’t smell like fried grease for the rest of the day, at least not as strongly as it does when we fry it.

Once it’s done…the bacon is melt-in-your mouth yummy, and flat, unlike when you fry it sometimes and it does that wavy thing that leaves parts of it uncooked.

Just take it out of the oven.

And plate it on some paper towels to remove any leftover grease for a minute or so.

Also, try pressing both sides of your bacon slices  first with brown sugar (delicious!) or freshly cracked black pepper sometime for a special bacon experience.

Throw the rack into the dishwasher, peel the foil off the bottom of the pan and your pan may still have some grease that leaked through, but cleanup will be way easier than scrubbing a greasy fry pan.

Now, go make bacon my friends..the easy way!
