(The Meathouse guested on my Rise & Shine segment today.  Below is an offering of what you can get at their store for you Easter dining pleasure!)
Easter is coming in just a few short days!

Not sure what you’re going to make?

Don’t worry.  The Meathouse has you covered!

(Easter goods by The Meat House on my segment)

Want something special instead of a typical ham?  How about a boneless leg of lamb?  The guys in the butcher shop are going to  jellyroll it out and stuff it with roasted garlic, salt, pepper garlic salt and fresh mint and rosemary, (the herbs are sourced locally from Peachcrest Farms), then it will be spread inside with  mint and apple and mint sauce and rolled back up and marinated.  You can roast it, slice it up and have something truly spectacular, but they’ve done most of the work for you!

Not a lamb fan? Then try this -a bone in prime rib!

If you are a traditional Easter dinner kind of guy or gal, you won’t miss out on the ham!  The Meathouse features two different types of ham – bone in spiral cut and deboned and they come hickory smoked or honey glazed.

And to go with all this meat? How about their scalloped potatoes, made with a blend of the delectable Boar’s Head cheeses.

Just because it’s a butcher shop doesn’t mean that there aren’t any vegetables!  Try some fresh spring vegetables locally sourced from Peachcrestfarms like purple asparagus. James even brought some candy cane beetsgrown by a local farmer.

Drizzle a little olive oil and salt and pepper and roast either of these in your oven for 10 minutes and you have a beautifully fresh and delicious side dish!

They have a vegetable medley ready for you to take home that’s finished of  zucchini, carrots, tomatoes, mushroom and asparagus  that are marinated in sun-dried tomato and herb vinaigrette.

And you need not lack for something sweet for Easter – they’ll have fresh baked sugar cookies and some delicious baked goods from one of our favorite places here in Oklahoma City – Prairie Thunder Bakery like Key Lime Pie and fresh baked cakes.

So if you want something wonderful for Easter? Just stop in to The Meat House! You’re bound to pick up something spectacular.
