An Exciting OKC Giveaway!

April 8, 2010Katie

****This contest is now closed****

I am so excited to tell you about this giveaway! Allied Arts here in Oklahoma City have contacted me and have offered to donate a free one-year OKCityCard to two lucky readers!

The OKCityCard offers specials and deals at more than 170 arts, restaurants, retail and sports locations.  Here is how you get one (if you don’t win the giveaway!).

Go to okcitycard.com and donate $50 to the Allied Arts and you will receive your own card in the mail.  The savings you will receive are well-worth it.

These cards are a great deal.  And the great thing is, you help out the Arts District of our city by getting one.  If you don’t win the giveaway, I’d get one regardless, as it is full of great places to try here in OKC.

I am super excited to get mine because many of the quality Oklahoma City restaurants, (including several I’ve already reviewed on my site) are on this card.  I’m talking cool places, like Big Truck Tacos, The Wedge, Cheever’s Cafe, Cuppies & Joe, Flips Wine Bar, Irma’s Burger Shack and more.  You can visit the restaurant link for the full listing of 48 restaurants by clicking here.

But that’s not all – there are also discounts for attractions and events, like the Fair, bowling and skating. There is even a discount on a Brickshaw buggy downtown! Also, there are discounts to the performing arts, like the Oklahoma City Ballet, and the Lyric Theatre, more discounts at 58 shops, 11 museums, and 7 art galleries.  There are also discounts offered on sporting events including the Thunder games, the Redhawks, and the Yard Dawgz.

Want to take some classes for fun?  There are discounts on those too!  Check them out!

Lastly, there are even 3 of our classier hotels listed with discounts and amenities…how cool!

Here is how you enter.  In the comments section below, leave one comment telling me one of your favorite things about Oklahoma City.

I’ll use a random generator Monday morning to pick two people and then I’ll post the winners here on my blog at 10 a.m.

Contest closes Sunday at midnight.

Check back on Monday – if you’re one of the lucky winners, I’ll need you to email me at dishinanddishes@yahoo.com to claim your prizes.

Good luck!

The Strawberry Honey Butter looks so good Katie! That recipe is a keeper! I love all the events OKC has to offer. I love to see the Redhawks play and this weekend is the Streetrod Nationals so hanging out on Meridian to watch all the cars cruise is fun.

Off the top of my head, I think my favorite thing about OKC is probably bricktown. There are so many restaurants and activities! I can park at the movie theater to catch a movie and then stroll around to get dinner and all other sorts of things. Everything seems to be in walking distance and its a blast on nights when there is a concert or Thunder game!!

I love the multi-cultural resturants in OKC. Enjoyed Dim Sum at the Grand House at Easter. There are also great Italian, German, Indian, and many more.

I love the fact that OKC experiences a variety of cultural diversity as it relates to food. (Although, Bahama Breeze is no longer here and they offered a lot of what I considered Cuban food.)

After years of business travels, I like the people here in Oklahoma City. They are friendly and down to earth. I like the openness of the land so I can see the great sunsets and sunrises we have. It's the heartland, the center of the states, with quite a cultural mixture of people, foods, styles.
