A Day of Water

Sunday Lil Bit came over to play.

We mentioned to her something about swimming.

Never ever say the “S” word around a two-year-old until you’re ready to go. It makes your life unbearable until you actually do go.

So we went swimming for a couple of hours, then came home and wondered what to do next.

Now you can buy a child some expensive fancy toys, but I’ve always found that their attention is held by simple things like a bowl full of beaded necklaces, Tupperware, pots and pans…and

An ordinary garden hose.

There are so many things you can do with a garden hose.

Like fill up a watering can to help Gramma water the flowers.

And seriously, she played with that thing for almost another two hours.

“Lil Bit, are you ready to go in the house now?”

Nope.

“Are you sure you’re not ready to go in the house?”

“Gamma…NO”

“Well okay then.”

Good thing we’d just planted grass seed…it got fully watered.
