Caramel Apple Dip

FI

The other night when all the bazillion teenagers invaded our house as usual on Monday nights, I wanted to do cider and doughnuts, popcorn and caramel apples in honor of my favorite season..

FALL!

However, you know how it goes when you make caramel apples?  Kids take a bite or two and leave them sticky and wasted all over the house…

It was then I remembered this favorite dip of mine from the past.  I don’t know where or when I first had it, but it has remained in my mind as an easy and yummy fall dip for apples.  Creamy and caramel in flavor, you can whip it up in moments…

Add an 8 ounce block of cream cheese (room temperature) along with 3/4 cup of brown sugar into a mixing bowl.

Also add in 1/4 cup of white sugar and 2 teaspoons of good vanilla extract.

And take your mixer and buzz it up real nice and creamy with your electric mixer.  I didn’t even bother to get my KitchenAid out for this one..it’s too quick!

Spoon the mixture into a bowl.

Cut up apple slices to order or cut up a whole bunch and dunk them into Sprite first to keep them from browning.  I much prefer Sprite to lemon juice – it doesn’t distort the taste of the fruit as much.

And dip away baby!

This two young ladies are very special to my heart.

Av'ree and Mariah

I sent Av’ree home with gobs of this stuff..she was in love with it.

She’s a girl after my own heart I tell ya.
